6 easy steps to being more productive

1. Plan ahead. A simple To-do list can go along way. First step to getting things done is identifying what those things are. This list can get very long sometimes so just focus on getting your top 3 things done first.

2. Remove distractions. Remove or limit distractions that prevent you from staying focused and being productive. This could mean unplugging and storing away your TV to avoid Netflix binging or putting your phone on silent while completing an important project.

3. Develop a routine. Figure out a routine that fits your needs and includes time for being productive. What time do you have the most energy or focus? Be realistic and come up with something that you will be able to stick with long-term.

4. Have an accountability partner. When you aren't able to hold yourself accountable, make sure you have someone that will. This should be someone you know has your best interest in mind and is willing to help you.

5. Stay consistent. Practicing being productive is a skill. You will have days where you fall off and that's okay just don't let it stop you. You can accomplish anything with consistent daily effort.

6. Remember your purpose. Your purpose (your why) can be a huge motivator in how productive you are. If you are passionate about your purpose staying productive becomes easier.
