7 ways to start loving yourself the way you deserve to be loved

  1. Spend quality time with yourself. Take time getting to know your needs and wants. Everyone shows and accepts love differently. How do you express love to others and how can you do that for yourself?

  2. Know your worth. You are worthy of love and the life you desire. Your worth does not depend on your productivity, money, fame, or success. You are infinitely worthy right now as you are.

  3. Set Boundaries. Don't be afraid to say no to situations or experiences that don't feel aligned with you. Loving yourself means protecting your inner peace by setting boundaries.

  4. Let go of what doesn't serve you. Sometimes we hold on to things longer than we need to because they make us feel comfortable. By letting go you allow room for new blessings, experiences and growth.

  5. Forgive yourself. Part of the human experience involves making mistakes. Forgive yourself for past experiences or mistakes and learn from them. Understand your mistakes, accept them and move on.

  6. Be kind to yourself. We can be our own biggest critics sometimes. How many times have you praised yourself for doing a good job? Take time to acknowledge your wins and celebrate your progress in life.

  7. Express yourself. Your voice, your story and your experience matters. Sharing your thoughts, ideas and wisdom with others takes an enormous amount of courage but is one of the best acts of self-love.
